Position: Operations Technician

Overview: Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dedicated and skilled Operations Technician to join the team in Wilsonville, OR. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in engineering support and production operations. The Operations Technician will play a crucial role in supporting engineering development projects, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering Assistant: Assist with new product development (NPD) tool and machine set-ups, including troubleshooting and adjustments to support engineering projects.
• Equipment Maintenance: Set up, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, including replacing cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, and supporting automation.
• Maintenance Support: Support maintenance systems and perform necessary activities .
• Troubleshooting: Collaborate with maintenance and process engineering teams to troubleshoot and repair system failures.
• Data Management: Collect and enter data to support procedures and engineering tests.
• Employee Interaction: Interact positively with employees and train them on using technical equipment such as automation systems, CNC machines, and other machinery.
• Supply Management: Purchase supplies for the secondary operations department, including cutters, fluids, gloves, etc..
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required.

Skills Required:

• Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting, using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.), installing dies into machines, and making necessary adjustments.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear, and see regularly. Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs consistently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in production, maintenance, or a related field.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with measuring instruments and machine adjustments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time efficiently.
