Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and proactive Production Planning Coordinator to join our manufacturing team on a 12-month contract basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring seamless communication across supply chain and manufacturing departments. The ideal candidate will possess experience in production planning or purchasing and experience in SAP. Duties

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to monitor inventory levels, implement inventory control strategies, and prevent stock shortages or overages.
  • Utilize SAP to plan, track, and adjust production activities in real-time.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure materials are available for production runs while minimizing waste through lean manufacturing practices.
  • Conduct demand planning and forecasting activities to support accurate material requirements planning (MRP).
  • Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of production plans, inventory movements, and supply chain metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • 1 year of experience in Planning or Purchasing, or an AA degree in Chemistry or Engineering and a desire for real-life experience in this field
  • Experience using SAP is highly preferred
  • Capable user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Works well in a team environment and provides professional customer service
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and facilitate problem-solving.

Position will primarily work Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, on-site, in Gainesville Florida. There is some opportunity for permanent hire following the contract period depending upon facility long-term needs.
