Overview
Our client, a decor design and manufacturing facility, is seeking an experienced packager to construct customized boxes and securely package finished items for shipment to clients. Responsibilities in this role include picking all hardware necessary for jobs, measuring and cutting materials accurately using saws, maintaining inventory, and all other duties relating to the packing and shipment of finish product.
9:30am-6pm. OT on Saturdays -1/2 day and some during week earlier or later in the day.
Responsibilities
- Construct boxes and securely package them.
- Pull all hardware and touch up paint required for shipment.
- Keep accurate inventory of material and supplies. Shrink wrap pallets as needed.
- Complete material requisition forms for hardware. Perform all duties relating to the packaging and shipment of finished product. Other duties as assigned
- Operate packaging equipment and ensure signs are securely packed for safe transportation
- Conduct quality checks on assembled signs to verify accuracy, appearance, and compliance with client requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to safety protocols and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
- Assist with inventory management by accurately labeling and documenting parts and finished goods
Qualifications/Skills
- Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to read and understand tape measurements
- Prior Packing Skills REQUIRED
- Reading A Tape Measure REQUIRED
- *HEAVY LIFTING
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for quality assurance tasks
- Experience with assembly processes or working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
