Job Objective
The organization is committed to innovation, operational effectiveness, and high standards of quality to meet customer expectations. The Purchaser is a key member of the Supply Chain team and is responsible for procuring parts, materials, and services required to support manufacturing operations.
Working closely with design, production, and finance teams, this role helps develop and maintain reliable supplier relationships to ensure uninterrupted material flow. This position supports consistent manufacturing operations and contributes to the on-time delivery of quality products.

Key Responsibility Areas
Purchasing
- Procures parts, materials, and services in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Develops, issues, and evaluates Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
- Prepares and issues purchase orders with approved and qualified suppliers.
- Works collaboratively with procurement and supply chain team members on purchasing initiatives.
- Ensures procurement processes are followed and maintains accuracy and integrity of purchasing records.
Other Responsibilities
- Develops proficiency in ERP systems and other digital tools as required.
- Demonstrates commitment to workplace health and safety policies in all work environments.
- Completes additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- One year or more of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
- Exposure to supply chain management and procurement processes.
Core Competencies
Computer Skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with collaboration and document-management platforms preferred.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred; experience with similar systems is an asset.

Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based work using digital systems and tools.
- Attention to ergonomic practices is required; guidance and support will be provided.

- CSA-approved safety footwear is required; other PPE is provided.
