As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Steel Welder to support projects in the Gaston area.

Position Summary

The Steel Welder will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling steel components according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical welding skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on structural and miscellaneous steel
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble steel components accurately
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a steel or structural welder
• Proficiency in MIG welding (TIG and Stick a plus)
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong understanding of welding safety practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fabrication or job-site environment
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• AWS certification preferred but not required

Work Environment & Schedule

• Shop and/or field-based work
• Monday–Friday schedule (overtime may be available based on workload)
