We are working with a growing manufacturing company in Sarasota that is seeking an experienced Sandblaster / Industrial Painter to join their team.

Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: $16.75–$25/hour, depending on experience

Position Summary:

The Sandblaster / Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing and finishing metal components used in manufacturing. This role involves sandblasting, painting, and inspecting parts to ensure quality and consistency based on engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and review work orders for parts requiring finishing
• Interpret blueprints to determine required coatings and finishes
• Sandblast, grind, clean, and prepare metal surfaces
• Apply primer and finish coats using spray equipment
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Mix and match paint according to specifications
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, including paint booths and equipment
• Operate industrial equipment safely and follow all safety protocols
• Use and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of sandblasting and/or industrial painting experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality
