Staff Accountant

Location: McGregor, TX | Full-Time | In-Office | Contract-to-Hire

About the Role:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This role offers hands-on experience across core accounting functions, including AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily transactions and assist with journal entries
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage accounts payable and receivable (invoicing, payments, reconciliations)
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
• Support audits, reporting, and compliance with GAAP
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and finance teams
• Help develop and improve accounting processes and SOPs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
• Knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Proficient in Excel; ERP/accounting software experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
