Welder

Located in Round Rock, TX

A local company in the Georgetown area is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join their team. This is a hands-on role working in a fast-paced shop environment, performing MIG and Stick welding on a variety of metal fabrication projects.

 

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift
Pay: $23.00 – $32.00/hour (DOE)

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and Stick welding to fabricate metal components
• Lay out, cut, fit, measure, and weld materials to specifications
• Ensure all welds meet industry standards and quality expectations
• Inspect welds and rework as needed to maintain quality
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and change welding wire/gas as needed
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently

 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ year of fabrication and welding experience
• Experience with MIG and SMAW (Stick) welding required
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude
• Experience using hand tools and shop equipment
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Weld test required – must bring own welding gear for interview

 

Work Environment:

• Shop environment with high noise levels
• Covered but non-climate-controlled facility
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the shift
• Must be able to lift 60+ lbs regularly
