Porter / Vehicle Detailer – Car Dealership

The Car Dealership Porter / Vehicle Detailer supports both the sales and service departments by ensuring vehicles are clean, presentable, and properly positioned throughout the dealership. This role plays a key part in maintaining a professional appearance of the lot and service areas while providing excellent support to customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Move vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, detailing areas, and parking lot as needed.
Perform vehicle detailing duties, including washing, drying, vacuuming interiors, wiping dashboards and consoles, cleaning windows, and spot-cleaning upholstery.
Prepare vehicles for customer delivery by ensuring they are clean, fueled if required, and properly staged.
Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles during service visits.
Ensure dealership lot is organized, clean, and free of trash or hazards.
Assist with delivery and pickup of customer and dealership vehicles.
Greet customers and assist with vehicle drop-off and pickup when needed.
Reposition vehicles on the lot to maintain inventory organization and visual appeal.
Check in new inventory deliveries and park vehicles in designated areas.
Keep service drive, wash bays, and detailing areas clean and presentable.
Monitor and report vehicle damage, maintenance concerns, or facility issues to management.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
Previous vehicle detailing or car wash experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work outdoors and remain physically active for extended periods

Working Conditions:

Frequent movement around the dealership premises.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work schedule may include weekends and evenings.

Position Type: Full Time Temp to Perm

Pay: $16.00

Schedule: Hours vary between 8am-6pm Some Saturdays may be required.
