Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fabrication and Welding Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in constructing, assembling, and maintaining complex metal structures and components. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical fabrication will ensure that projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes
  • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding with precision according to industry standards such as ASME codes & standards
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions during fabrication
  • Cut, shape, assemble, and install sheet metal components for ductwork, piping, or structural applications
  • Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy materials or equipment using cranes or forklifts
  • Apply mechanical knowledge for pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks in accordance with project specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize fabrication processes
  • Follow all safety guidelines related to construction site work, welding practices, and equipment operation

Experience

  • Proven construction site experience with hands-on involvement in fabrication or metalworking projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; experience with <LOCATION> welding preferred
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations
  • Experience operating power tools such as press brakes, plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and saws in a manufacturing or construction setting
  • Knowledge of rigging procedures involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy materials safely
  • Mechanical aptitude with understanding of pipe threading, soldering techniques, machining processes, and assembly procedures
  • Working knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to fabrication and welding practices in industrial environments
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced construction or manufacturing settings
