Location: Horseheads, NY
Schedule: Day Shift
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Inspection, Receiving & Shipping Technician to support daily production and logistics operations. This role is responsible for incoming material receiving and inspection, as well as cleaning, inspecting, packaging, and preparing finished parts for shipment. The ideal candidate will ensure all incoming and outgoing items meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Clean finished parts as they come out of the production process.
• Inspect components according to customer criteria, including drawings and specifications.
• Package completed parts securely for shipment.
• Process outgoing shipments using the company’s ERP system as well as common shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
• Verify orders and documentation prior to shipment to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records of received and shipped goods.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area while following safety guidelines.
• Communicate with internal team members to ensure timely processing, inspection, and delivery of materials and orders.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection criteria.
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with shipping software or ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a production or warehouse environment.
• Prior experience in receiving, incoming inspection, manufacturing, shipping, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a production or shop environment.
