Trade Counter Sales Specialist

Location: Elmira, NY
Schedule: Day Shift
Pay: $16.50 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to support daily retail and front-counter operations. This role involves assisting customers in person and over the phone, processing sales transactions, and maintaining an organized and well-stocked sales floor.

The ideal candidate has experience working with residential mechanical or construction-related products and enjoys providing hands-on customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide knowledgeable assistance at the sales counter
• Help customers identify appropriate products and materials for their needs
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to product inquiries
• Restock shelves and maintain organized inventory displays
• Keep the sales floor and counter areas clean and presentable
• Assist with receiving and organizing incoming merchandise
• Provide general support to warehouse or showroom operations as needed

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or counter sales experience preferred
• Working knowledge of residential mechanical systems, tools, or construction-related equipment strongly preferred
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
