About the Role

This Manual Machinist role is a first-shift opportunity for a skilled, hands-on machinist who knows manual equipment inside and out. You’ll be machining precision parts using manual lathes and mills, working from blueprints, and holding tight tolerances in a true job shop–style environment. This position is designed for an experienced machinist—not a CNC operator or production worker.

What You'll Be Doing

• Set up and operate manual engine lathes, vertical/horizontal mills, drill presses, and grinders
• Machine components to print using blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances
• Select tooling and calculate proper speeds and feeds for various materials
• Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
• Troubleshoot setups, adjust cuts, and ensure parts meet quality standards before release

To Be Considered, You Must Meet the Following:

• Must have hands-on manual machining experience — CNC-only backgrounds do NOT qualify
• Proven ability to independently run manual lathes and mills
• Strong blueprint reading skills, including tolerances and basic GD&T
• Experience machining materials such as steel, aluminum, and alloys
• Comfortable working without step-by-step instructions or supervision

This Role is NOT for You If:

• Your experience is limited to CNC operation, machine monitoring, or button-pushing
• You have only worked in general manufacturing, assembly, or production roles
• You cannot read prints or hold tolerances without assistance
