Material Handler/Forklift Driver Job Summary:

A leading electrical utility supply and distribution company is seeking and Material Handler/Forklift Driver to join its Grand Rapids team. This position plays a key role in supporting power, gas, and broadband infrastructure projects by ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, and shipped to job sites. Material Handler/Forklift Driver responsibilities:

• Operate electric sit-down forklifts to move, load, and stage materials throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments safely and efficiently
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders using RF scanners to ensure accuracy
• Receive and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and shipping documents
• Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity and shipping deadlines

Schedule & Pay: 

• 1st shift 7:00am-4:00pm; Monday-Friday
• $18.00-$20.00/HR DOE

Material Handler/Forklift Driver Qualifications:

• Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized warehouse environment
• Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, including labels, tickets, and product documentation
• Ability to frequently lift, push, carry, and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs
• Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse and yard in varying temperatures
• Basic math skills with the ability to accurately count and verify inventory
• Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
• Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
• Must be at least 18 years of age
