Express is recruiting for a Inventory Control Coordinator for a Grand Junction fishing line manufacturer.

7:00am - 3:45pm

Job Summary

The Inventory Control (IC) Coordinator ensures accurate inventory management by conducting cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, issuing materials, and maintaining proper documentation across departments. This role requires a detail-oriented approach, understanding of ERP systems, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to verify inventory levels and integrity.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Accurately perform inventory transactions using barcode scanning and ERP systems.
  • Issue materials to production orders and ensure part numbers and quantities are correct.
  • Read and identify product SKUs using smart part numbering systems.
  • Collaborate with production, packaging, quality, and warehouse teams to support real-time inventory needs.
  • Follow all SOPs and Standard Work procedures for Inventory Control.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment; report malfunctions promptly.
  • Promote a safe and organized work environment using 5S and PPE compliance.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

  • Inventory Accuracy: Conduct thorough counts and validate transactions with <2% variance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Use barcode scanners, scales, and ERP software.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain error-free transaction entries and consistent report usage.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze causes of inventory discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Process Knowledge: Understand and apply inventory flow, work order issuance, and IC SOPs.
  • Cross-Department Support: Communicate and coordinate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Accountability: Track daily activity, meet individual goals, and maintain accurate logs.
  • Data Entry & Microsoft Office: Accurate entry of data and entry-level proficiency with Microsoft products such as Excel and Word.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and monitor equipment usage.

Physical & Environmental Conditions

  • Stand, walk, bend, or lift (up to 75 lbs.) regularly.
    • Sit for portions of shift while performing documentation or data entry.
    • Use fine motor skills to operate scanners, phones, and complete forms.
    • Visual acuity required for screen reading, labeling, and material identification.
    • Hearing and eye protection required per department safety policies.

 

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
