Forklift Driver – Day Shift

Location: Gateway Warehouse – Calumet City, IL
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day Shift)
Schedule: Monday–Friday (may vary based on business needs)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver to support daily warehouse operations at the Gateway Warehouse in Calumet City, IL. This role is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift equipment (sit-down, stand-up, or reach truck as assigned)
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and pallets
• Move materials to designated storage locations within the warehouse
• Verify materials against packing slips and shipping documents
• Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all OSHA and warehouse safety procedures
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• MUST pass background check
• MUST pass drug test
• Minimum of 1 year forklift experience preferred
• Ability to pass forklift evaluation and safety training
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Basic math and inventory skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
