Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager who thrives on building relationships, understanding operations, and creating workforce solutions that make a real impact. This role blends in-person relationship building with proactive outreach, including phone sales and business-to-business cold calling.

This is not a transactional sales role. It’s a consultative position focused on long-term partnerships and solving real business challenges.


What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses across a variety of industries
  • Conduct outbound phone sales and cold calling to introduce Express and generate new business opportunities
  • Follow up consistently with prospects through calls, email, and in-person visits
  • Identify workforce gaps and develop tailored staffing solutions
  • Conduct client visits to understand operations, culture, and hiring needs
  • Partner with internal recruiting teams to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of client accounts
  • Drive new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on workforce trends, retention, and hiring strategy

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in sales, customer service, or a client-facing role preferred
  • Comfortable with outbound phone calls and cold calling in a business-to-business environment
  • Strong communication skills, both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits
  • Basic computer skills (email, CRM systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace)
  • Comfortable handling rejection and staying consistent with outreach efforts

Preferred (but not required)

  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, or workforce solutions
  • Background in B2B sales or business development
  • Familiarity with the local Idaho Falls business community
  • Experience with networking groups (Chamber, BNI, SHRM, etc.)
