Inventory Specialist/Shipping & Receiving – First Shift

 

General Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Specialist/Shipping & Receiving for a full-time position to join our team. The primary objective of this role is to ensure accurate inventory management, assess, support UPS Ground shipping operations, and oversee receiving processes. This position will also assist with order fulfillment, including pulling orders as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Investigate and report discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.

Receiving, Loading and Storing:

• Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Properly label, organize, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
• Load outbound shipments onto trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.

UPS Ground & Shipping Management:

• Process and manage UPS Ground shipments, ensuring timely and accurate order handling.
• Prepare and print shipping labels for UPS and other carriers.
• Coordinate pickups and ensure shipments meet delivery deadlines.

Order Fulfillment (As Needed):

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately according to company standards.
• Assist with pulling orders during peak times or as operational needs require.

Equipment Operation:

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs.

 

Requirements and Skills

• Inventory Experience and Shipping/Receiving Experience is REQUIRED
• Familiarity with UPS shipping processes and software preferred
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems
• MUST have 3+ years’ experience with the same company to be considered for this position
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift or move up to 60 lbs. safely
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Steel toe shoes required

 

Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
