Location: South Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview 

Distribution Facility Lead / Forklift Operator

Distribution facility in South Charlotte is adding a hands-on Distribution Lead / Material Handling Operator to support daily warehouse operations. This role leads by example—working alongside the team while handling material movement, inventory control, order pulling, and forklift operations.

Key Responsibilities 

Distribution Facility Lead / Forklift Operator

  • Lead and support daily material handling operations
  • Pull orders accurately and stage shipments for outbound trucks
  • Operate forklift to place materials on racks, trailers, and staging areas
  • Load and unload trucks safely, accurately, and in a timely manner
  • Track and record material movement using move sheets and/or forklift-mounted wireless systems
  • Assist with receiving: counting, tagging, and verifying incoming materials
  • Support customer pickups, sales pickups, and internal requests
  • Perform inventory control and manual cycle counts as required
  • Maintain assigned housekeeping zone and overall warehouse cleanliness
  • Use time efficiently to maximize output and assist teammates when needed
  • Complete all required safety, compliance, and job-specific training
  • Apply training quickly and remain flexible with day-to-day priorities

Skills & Qualifications 

Distribution Facility Lead / Forklift Operator

  • Forklift experience required
  • Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution operations
  • Safety- and quality-focused with solid decision-making skills
  • Highly organized with accurate paperwork and order tracking
  • Detail-oriented; checks work carefully and corrects errors
