Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Customer Service Representative for a reputable manufacturing company in Tulsa. This role is responsible for receiving, investigating, and responding to customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, orders, and complaints. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding orders, returns, shipments, and products

  • Receive and enter phone, email, and fax orders into the ERP system

  • Notify customers of shipment delays or missing information needed to process orders

  • Initiate tracers with carriers

  • Modify or cancel orders and backorders

  • Create replacement part orders or corrections for shortages, incorrect items, or shipping errors

  • Update customer information and initiate file maintenance

  • Complete required forms and determine service changes

  • Promote additional or new services when appropriate

  • Handle irate or frustrated customers professionally

  • Collect and document customer feedback

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience

  • Knowledge of engine components, parts, or natural gas compressors preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedure documents

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts

  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in diagram form

  • Excellent communication skills with strong grammar, voice, and diction

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with ERP systems or databases

  • Strong customer service skills: friendly, courteous, and helpful

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and business maturity

  • Dependable, conscientious, and able to work well as part of a team

  • Shows initiative and willingness to cooperate with others
