DZ Drivers - Road Painting

Schedule: Monday - Friday - 6:00 am - 6:00 pm

*Open to flexibility with hours - 20-55 hours per week. fluctuates*

About the Role

Express Employment Guelph is currently recruiting for multiple DZ drivers for a local maintenance company that is looking for drivers to do road painting work across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Blocker Truck for traffic control to ensure safety in construction zones
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety
• Communicating with team members and the public in a courteous and respectful manner
• Ensuring the truck lights, beacons and arrow boards are turned on and functioning
• Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies while on the road
• Maintaining an accurate log of driving hours, routes and cargo details
• driving 10-20km/hr. while painting the road throughout the day or using the blocker truck, mental endurance needed

Qualifications

• Valid DZ license & 3+ Years of experience
• Air Brake endorsement required
• MUST have Clean Drivers Abstract
• Knowledge of stick shift/manual transmission is considered an asset
• Flexibility and readiness to travel throughout Ontario for projects (in company vehicles) – hotel accommodations provided for out-of-town jobs (2-3 week stints)
• Availability to work outside of regular hours, with flexibility for weekends
