Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Machine Operator I to support production operations by safely and efficiently operating burn table equipment and related tools. This role focuses on cutting and shaping metal parts while also assisting with general production and welding support tasks.

 

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 7a-5p (OT available, schedule may fluctuate)

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate burn tables and related machinery to cut and shape metal plates and parts safely and efficiently
• Follow work instructions and production processes to meet quality and output standards
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production
• Utilize tools and equipment such as plasma burn tables, O2/fuel torches, grinders, scrapers, tape measures, and calipers
• Perform basic math calculations, including fractions and decimals
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials safely
• Complete minor equipment maintenance, including torch head part changes and basic program adjustments
• Weigh materials and finished parts to ensure proper handling
• Use basic computer systems to download programs and track production
• Clean and de-burr materials as needed
• Perform daily equipment checks and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Assist other team members and support general production needs as required
• Recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
• Experience in heavy industrial or construction environments preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English fluently

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate tools and equipment
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
