Material Handler (A2206)

Our client in Mentor, OH is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for moving materials, equipment components, and supplies throughout the facility to ensure production teams have the parts and materials needed to maintain efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, forklift operation, inventory control, and warehouse organization within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of materials and parts
• Move materials between warehouse and production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
• Stage materials for assembly, fabrication, or shipping departments
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Organize warehouse storage areas and maintain a clean work environment
• Assist production teams by ensuring materials and components are readily available
• Remove waste materials, empty pallets, and packaging from production areas
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus
• Ability to read packing slips, work orders, and basic inventory documentation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing or equipment distribution environment
• Inventory management systems
• Reach Forklift, pallet jack, or material moving equipment
