1st & 2nd Shift Temp Parts Cleaner

Parts Cleaner:

 

A very well-known south Indy steel fabrication & distribution center is looking for strong candidates for their fabrication and warehouse operations. This company is wanting forward thinkers, problem solvers, and candidate who is fast paced with great attention to detail.

 

Job Summary/Company Information: 

• This Company supplies raw materials (carbon, stainless steel, aluminum and red metals) to a variety of manufacturing and other industries.
• This company has been in business for over 50 years and has over 40 locations nationwide!

• Parts cleaning positions is a project position expected to last 4-6 months.  However, company always has their eye out for hard working candidates to convert long term.

• Production openings will consist of working in a department that is responsible for taking parts off burning tables after metal is cut.  Associates will use hand grinders to buff and debur rough edges.  Calipers will also be used for final quality check.  Heavy lifting of 50 lbs and must have ability to read and verify paperwork or orders. 

Pay/Benefits:

• Base Wage $19 + $2 Attendance Bonus = $21/hr for Day shift.  2nd Shift has an additional $2 shift differential = $23/hr for 2nd shift. 

Schedule: 

 

1st Shift - Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm. 

2nd Shift - Mon - FRi 3pm - 11:30pm (Must train on days for first 1-2 weeks)

*Associates will be required to work Mandatory OT along with 1st shift requiring Saturday OT. 

 

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will be hard working, have attention to detail, an interest working in a heavy production environment.

• Must have proven longevity in previous positions, demonstrating excellent attendance

• Candidates must pass a math/ruler/fraction test in order to qualify for any possible long term opportunities. The ability to advance and move onto different positions and departments is encouraged and happens frequently.

• Must have Valid Drivers License and own transportation to and from work. 

• Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs.
