Schedule and Compensation

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation ($/hour): $18.00–$20.00

Job Summary

A local company in Hermiston is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to support daily facility upkeep, grounds maintenance, and general building operations. This position is ideal for someone dependable, hands-on, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Daily cleaning of bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices, common areas, hallways, and the entire facility inside and out
• Maintain cleaning and facility maintenance logs
• Waste and garbage removal throughout the facility
• Grounds maintenance including shoveling, snowplowing, grass cutting, trimming, and other assigned maintenance tasks
• Organize scrap metal and maintain designated areas
• Paint lines and markings as necessary
• Perform basic machine maintenance
• Complete required weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly facility management tasks, including safety walks
• Run errands as needed (not applicable for temporary workers)
• Perform other duties as delegated by the supervisor

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required
• Forklift experience preferred
• Strong common-sense problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and under supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
