Job Title: Heavy Equipment MechanicPay Rate: $20 - $30/hourSchedule:Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM)Overtime available; occasional Saturdays (approximately 6 per year, scheduled in advance)Position Overview:Seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of trucks and heavy equipment. This role involves working in a team environment to complete preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and perform mechanical repairs. Candidates should be comfortable taking direction, following instructions, and working in a hands-on environment.Key Responsibilities:- Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment- Diagnose mechanical issues and replace or repair defective parts- Disassemble and reassemble components using hand and power tools- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability- Travel locally as needed using a company-provided work truck to service equipment- Follow instructions and work closely with team members to complete repairs efficientlyQualifications & Experience:- Experience with small power tools and mechanical equipment- Knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine repair- Experience servicing trucks and heavy equipment (yellow iron preferred)- Several years of mechanical experience preferred-Ability to learn quickly and take direction in a team-oriented environmentWork Environment:- Industrial setting with exposure to dirt, heat, and outdoor conditions- Team-focused environment requiring strong communication and professionalism- Hands-on role requiring adaptability and attention to detailPhysical Requirements:- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting- Ability to work in confined spaces and under equipment- Capability to lift heavy components as needed- Tools & Equipment- Basic tools required; shop tools available temporarily- Candidates should plan to provide their own tools over time (assistance programs may be available)- Company truck and gas card provided for work-related travelTraining & Development:- 2-week to 1-month evaluation and onboarding period- Ongoing guidance and support providedBenefits:- Health insurance (company-paid upon eligibility)- Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time- 401(k) with company match (up to 6%)- Annual performance reviews with potential for raisesAdditional Requirements:- Drug screening required (pre-employment and post-offer testing)- Background check not required- Driving record requirements may vary
