Express Employment Professionals Northeast San Antonio office is currently partnering with a leading metal supply client in the San Antonio area to place a Sales Associate in a long-term, temp-to-hire position. This role offers strong potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs. Compensation for the position will be $20/hour, and work hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

This position primarily supports counter sales and inside sales operations, while also requiring outside sales activity approximately one day per week (about 20% travel). Candidates must be comfortable using their personal vehicle to visit local customers and support sales efforts. 

Essential Job Functions include:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries in person, by phone, and online
  • Prepare quotes, confirm pricing, finalize orders, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain familiarity with inventory and assist with stock-related and operational tasks as needed
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities for repeat and additional business
  • Conduct outside sales visits one day per week to support customer relationships and business development

Qualifications we are seeking entail:

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel locally one day per week required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-facing or sales-related role
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a passing score on a pre-employment math assessment (provided by Express)
  • Comfortable using computers and performing basic math accurately
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
