Job Title:  Installer III – Lead Installer/Crew Lead

Location:  Fayetteville, NC

Pay:  $20.00 per hour

Job Type:  Full-Time | 1^st Shift

 

Position Overview:  Leads the installation crew to deliver high-quality HVAC system installations safely, efficiently, and in compliance with code and manufacturer specifications. Ensures sold scope is executed correctly, communicates job progress issues early, and supports a premium customer experience from arrival through walkthrough.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leaddaily installation execution: review job scope and notes, plan job sequence, assign crew tasks, and ensure safety standards
• Install and/or oversee installation of indoor/outdoor equipment, line sets, electrical connections (within licensing), condensate drainage, and related components per standards
• Verify equipment model match and accessories against sold scope; flag discrepancies immediately to Sale Manager before proceeding
• Coordinate logistics and materiels: confirm equipment delivery, ensure all parts are on-hand, and request missing materials early to prevent delays
• Perform/verify star-up procedures, thermostat configuration, and basic performance checks; ensure clean, labeled, and professional final appearance
• Complete customer walkthrough: explain system operation, filter maintenance, thermostat use, and warranty/service expectations; answer questions professionally
• Document installation thoroughly in ServiceTitan: photosw, serial numbers, job notes, and completed install checklist
• Train and mentor Installer I/II team members; enforce workmanship standards and jobsite discipline.
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and property porotection; ensure debris removal and customer space restored at completion
• Identify install process improvements and recurring issues; provide feedback to Sales Manager for scope/sell improvements and to Service/Office teams for handoff improvements

Qualifications:

• 7+ HVAC installation experience with strong quality record
• Demonstrated crew leadership and customer communication skills
• Strong knowledge of residential system configurations, code basics, and manufacturer installation standards
• EPA 608 certification preferred (role-dependent)

Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in attics/crawlspaces/outdoors; extended standing, kneeling, and ladder work
• Ability to work overtime and weekends during peak season as needed
• Must follow safety policies and maintain professional appearance and conduct
