Accounts Payable Specialist
 
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a well-established manufacturing organization in the North Kane County area. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process and code vendor invoices matched to purchase orders and receipts
  • Enter invoices into accounting systems with accuracy
  • Process weekly check runs and ensure proper approvals
  • Maintain vendor payment schedules and terms
  • Audit employee expense reports for policy compliance
  • Support accounting department with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Basic Excel skills (adding columns; PivotTables a plus)
  • Strong organizational and math skills
  • Knowledge of basic accounting regulations

Pay & Schedule

Pay Range: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Work Location: Onsite
