Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $22 per hour (pay increase available after temp-to-hire period)
Location: South Stockton off of Mariposa

Job Overview

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for packaging, shipping, receiving, and organizing materials to support production operations. This role includes inspecting incoming shipments, maintaining inventory records, and safely loading and transporting materials.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain organized records of items shipped and received

Verify delivery quantities against received shipments

Ensure all shipping documentation is completed and returned properly

Package items securely for shipping

Unpack and inspect incoming materials for damage or non-compliance

Assist with returning defective or incorrect materials to vendors

Receive deliveries associated with purchase orders

Maintain organized inventory of received materials

Transport materials between plants as needed

Perform final quality checks on manufactured products

Load raw and finished materials onto trucks

Secure truck loads using ropes, chains, and straps

Assist with inventory management including cycle counts and year-end inventory

Monitor inventory levels and report low stock when necessary

Build wooden crates or skids for large or oversized items when needed

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience

Sit-down forklift experience required

Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment

Comfortable using basic hand tools

Strong attention to detail and organization

 

Must pass drug screen and background
