Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a local manufacturing client. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to support safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
• Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on machinery
• Work with mechanical systems including bearings, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and motors
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical systems (AC/DC, motor starters, fuses, relays)
• Use hand tools, power tools, welders, and diagnostic equipment (voltmeter, ammeter)
• Assist with equipment rebuilds, new installations, and plant shutdowns
• Support all departments during equipment breakdowns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience (manufacturing preferred)
• High school diploma or skilled trades training preferred
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, maintenance systems)
• Welding and fabrication experience a plus
• English proficiency required
• Valid driver’s license may be required

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts
• Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Climb ladders and work on elevated equipment
• Work in hot, cold, and noisy environments
• Wear required PPE
