Our well-known client in Rockford is seeking an experienced HR professional to manage day-to-day human resources operations and serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership. This role supports employee relations, benefits, compliance, and recruiting efforts. Pay is negotiable but aiming for $80-100K BOE. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage benefits programs and open enrollment
• Administer workers’ compensation and employee leaves (FMLA, STD)
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and exit processes
• Maintain employee records and respond to HR inquiries
• Handle employee relations issues and investigations
• Support safety programs and HR initiatives
• Lead performance evaluations and job/pay structure processes
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
• 7+ years of HR experience
• PHR/SPHR preferred
• Knowledge of employment laws required
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
