An Accounting Specialist needed for a well-established, manufacturing company in the Waukegan area! This is a DIRECT HIRE position and a growth opportunity for someone to work for a global family owned and operated company, who have been in business for 100+ years.

 

 

Highlights of Accounting Specialist

  • Temp to Hire
  • $52-56k, based on experience
  • Monday-Friday, flexible start time between 6:30am-8am
  • Remote role, with expectations of visiting onsite HQ according to managers discretion and for training

Responsibilities of Accounting Specialist:

  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions.
  • Processes daily billing, account statements, reports & other records; reviews for accuracy.
  • Manages Credit Application process in accordance with the company policies & procedures.
  • Assistance with deduction management and audits.
  • Update, maintain and manage various spreadsheets to match ERP records.
  • Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices, PO’s and checks, substantiating business transactions.
  • Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, etc.
  • Works cross-functionally to investigate/reconcile report discrepancies and problems.
  • Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
  • Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
  • Reviews credit limits, order entries and system workflows.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Associates degree OR equivalent experience in accounting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Seeking candidates who maintain accuracy, are detail-oriented, excellent time management skills, strong work ethic, reliable and consistent in their work
