We are seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer to join a well-established precision metals manufacturing operation in the Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch area. This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a stable, team-oriented environment focused on complex, custom machining.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a job shop setting, enjoys working on diverse, challenging projects, and takes ownership from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, develop, and optimize CNC programs for 5-Axis machining centers
• Work on new and existing projects, improving efficiency and reducing setup times
• Collaborate with machinists and production teams to ensure successful part production
• Serve as a technical resource and support for machining processes and troubleshooting
• Select appropriate tooling, cutters, and inserts based on application
• Drive continuous improvement in programming and manufacturing processes

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of CNC programming experience, 10+ years in machining overall
• Strong experience programming 5-Axis mills (required)
• Proficiency with Fusion 360 or similar CAM software
• Experience with machines such as FANUC, Mori, Okuma, Grob, Enshu, RoboDrills, or similar
• Background in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Proven ability to take projects from concept to first successful part
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with a team
• Experience with setup reduction and process optimization is highly valued
