Overview
We’re hiring a hands-on Powertrain Rebuilder to tear down and rebuild heavy-duty truck components including transmissions, differentials, and drivelines. This is a bench-focused role for someone who understands how components work internally and can rebuild them without relying on step-by-step manuals.

What You’ll Do

• Perform complete teardown and rebuild of heavy-duty transmissions, differentials, and drivetrain components
• Inspect, measure, and assess wear on internal components including gears, bearings, shafts, and housings
• Set tolerances, preload, and gear clearances to OEM or best-practice standards
• Diagnose internal failures and determine root cause (not just replace parts)
• Reassemble units with a high level of precision and quality control
• Use micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to verify specifications
• Collaborate with parts team to identify and source required components
• Maintain detailed documentation of rebuilds and ensure a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience rebuilding transmissions, differentials, or similar mechanical systems
• Strong understanding of internal drivetrain components and how they function together
• Proven ability to work without step-by-step manuals and troubleshoot independently
• High attention to detail and precision measuring experience
• Experience with Eaton, Meritor, Dana, or Spicer systems is a strong asset
• Mechanical background in heavy trucks, equipment, or industrial systems preferred
