Job Description

Express Employment is seeking a reliable and experienced Underground Utility / Pipe Layer for one of our construction clients. This position involves installing and repairing water, sewer, and drainage systems on active job sites. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, following safety procedures, and performing physically demanding tasks for extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, lay, and align water, sewer, and drainage pipes
• Fit and connect pipe sections according to project specifications
• Perform grouting of concrete structures and pipe joints
• Assist with trench preparation, backfilling, and site cleanup
• Read and follow basic plans, grades, and instructions
• Work safely around heavy equipment and construction crews
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience with water, sewer, and drainage pipe laying
• Experience fitting pipes and working with concrete/grouting preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work long hours and flexible schedules

Pay

• $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

• Monday through Saturday, with some Sundays required
• Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Work Environment

• Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions
• Physically demanding, hands-on work
