Position Summary:

Express Employment is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Worker This role involves performing a variety of manual labor and skilled tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and improvement of streets, sidewalks, storm drains, signage, and other public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patch potholes and repair asphalt and concrete surfaces

• Install and repair street signs and pavement markings

• Maintain storm drains, gutters, culverts, and catch basins

• Operate and maintain hand tools and heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, loaders, and street sweepers

• Perform snow removal and ice control duties during winter months

• Assist with traffic control at work sites

• Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment

• Respond to emergency calls during inclement weather or natural disasters

• Follow safety procedures and city policies at all times

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Valid driver’s license 

• Previous experience in street, construction, or public works maintenance is a plus

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in all weather conditions, and perform strenuous physical tasks

• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and maintain a positive attitude

• Basic mechanical and equipment operation knowledge preferred

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or be on-call as needed
