Duties for the Bag Setup Technician are:

• Machine Setup & Material Management: Set up bag machines according to customer orders by making the necessary adjustments, changing rolls promptly, and ensuring bag operators have a constant and uninterrupted supply of materials to keep production moving.
• Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Identify and resolve setup issues as they arise to ensure a quality pouch is being produced consistently, stepping in to operate bag machines while operators are on lunch or break to maintain continuous production flow.
• Communication & Coordination: Work closely with bag operators and other personnel to stay on production schedule, using strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently throughout the shift.

Requirements for the Bag Setup Technician include:

• Experience & Math Skills: Minimum of 5 years as a bag operator or equivalent experience required, along with the ability to comfortably work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals across all units of measure to accurately set up and adjust machinery.
• Physical Stamina & Strength: Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift, use hands and fingers to operate and adjust press/bag machinery, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds as needed throughout the day.
• Communication & Multitasking: Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively, coordinating with bag operators and other team members to ensure production schedules are met without interruption.
