Driver - CDL Class A

Under the direct management of the Delivery Manager, the Millwork Driver is responsible to learn materials and products; the assembly and movement of material; the proper loading of material onto the truck, and is responsible for the safe and final disposition of product to the customer location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Read paperwork and fill out correctly
· Know species and profiles of wood and products
· Know common door profiles, moulding profiles, and Andersen window line
· Know safe and proper handling of different materials; moulding, doors, windows
· Know safe and proper loading of material onto truck for delivery; ensure materials are secure for protection during transport
· Know safe and proper unloading of materials
· Use computer system to navigate order inquiries
· Assist with basic assemblies as needed
· Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures
· Maintain positive customer relations
· Perform safe driving
· Meet all DOT requirements for CDL license

Education and/or Experience
Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma and one to three years of related schooling and/or experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Qualifications
Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include a computer, hand truck and various small hand tools. Requires a valid driver license and complying with DOT regulations for a Class A license.
