General Accountant

Location: Remote (Office in Vaughan)

Compensation: $75k-95k with comprehensive benefits

Overview:

We are seeking a General Accountant to support a new ERP system implementation in addition to various functions such as maintaining the general ledger, processing accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, tax remittances, account reconciliation/analysis and preparing month-end closing reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive period close processes
• Processing Transactions – A/P, A/R, Inventory
• Reconciliation & Compliance – bank statements, general ledger accounts, etc.
• Tax & Audit Support
• Financial Analysis – analyze trends and resolve issues
• Helping to optimize financial systems and processes for scalability and efficiency
• Assist in the implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and smooth transition from legacy systems

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Intermediate Excel knowledge/skills (advanced functions, pivot tables, modeling)
• Cross-functional communication – confidently communicate with all levels
