The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance, safety, and cleanliness of a healthcare facility’s grounds. This role ensures that all outdoor areas—including lawns, walkways, parking lots, and landscaping—are well-kept, hazard-free, and present a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds through mowing, trimming, watering, and fertilizing
• Remove trash, debris, and hazardous materials from the property
• Keep sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas clean and safe, including snow/ice removal when applicable
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems
• Perform minor repairs on outdoor fixtures such as fences, benches, and signage
• Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report issues promptly
• Assist with seasonal landscaping projects and general upkeep
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

• Drivers License Required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous groundskeeping or landscaping experience is a plus
• Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely
• Basic knowledge of plant care and maintenance
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
