Payroll Assistant

Located in LaRue, TX

Salary: $22/hr

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations for a growing organization in East Texas. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly/biweekly payroll for employees accurately and on time
• Maintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, and tax information
• Handle employee timekeeping, PTO tracking, and payroll adjustments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding related to payroll setup
• Support reporting, audits, and general administrative duties

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll or related administrative experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar)
• Background in accounting, HR, or office administration
