Warehouse Associate (PIT Equipment) – Temp to Hire

Express Employment Professionals on Elm Hill Pike is seeking experienced Warehouse Associates to join a fast-paced distribution environment in LaVergne, TN. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with intent for full-time conversion for high-performing associates.

Shift & Pay

• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Shift: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Second Shift)
• Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour (OT after 40 hours)

Job Summary

As a Warehouse Associate, you will utilize powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment and RF technology to support receiving, picking, auditing, and packing operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume warehouse setting. While the primary focus is receiving, associates will assist in multiple warehouse areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate PIT equipment including:
• Stand-up forklift
• Sit-down forklift
• Order picker
• Reach truck
• Pick, audit, and pack orders using RF scanners
• Accurately process inventory through a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Support receiving operations and assist in other warehouse departments as required
• Remain on your feet for a full 8-hour shift
• Work in varying temperatures (cold in winter, hot in summer)
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards

Requirements

• Prior warehouse experience required
• Proven experience operating PIT equipment listed above
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance history
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Must complete Express Employment onboarding and screenings prior to submission
• Interview required

• Workwear attire required
• No tank tops or obscene clothing
• Steel-toe shoes required
