Technical Sales Representative

Location: Horseheads, NY
Schedule: Full-Time (Day Shift)
Pay: $50,000–$65,000 base salary + commission (based on experience and performance)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join a growing organization in the Horseheads area. This role focuses on developing new business, managing client relationships, and delivering technical solutions to customers in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong sales background and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and client engagement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers across multiple industries
• Identify customer needs and provide tailored product or service solutions
• Create and execute short- and long-term sales plans to drive revenue growth
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and purchasing teams to support customer requirements
• Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product information
• Track sales activity and maintain accurate customer records
• Travel to client sites as needed to support business development efforts

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in technical or industrial sales
• Proven track record of developing new business and growing accounts
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working with manufacturing or industrial clients
• Ability to understand and present technical concepts and solutions
• Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel as needed (up to approximately 50–60%)
• Valid driver’s license
