Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated attorney. The ideal candidate will have experience in criminal law, workers’ compensation claims, and insurance defense litigation. This position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of cases while collaborating with a supportive team of legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in criminal defense matters, including trial preparation, motions, plea negotiations, and courtroom advocacy.
• Handle workers’ compensation claims, including client counseling, claim filings, hearings, and appeals.
• Manage insurance defense cases, including claims analysis, discovery, settlement negotiations, and litigation.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and court decisions in all assigned practice areas.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Proven experience in criminal defense, workers’ compensation, and/or insurance defense.
• Strong litigation skills, including trial experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to client service.
