We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join an established organization based in Port Coquitlam, BC. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity with a long-standing industrial products distributor.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management within a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory management principles including safety stock, reorder points, lead times, EOQ, and forecast variability
  • Demonstrated experience managing and negotiating with suppliers, including performance management
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (strongly preferred) or a comparable ERP system
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Professional references and a background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in the selection process

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels to balance customer service, working capital, and operational efficiency
  • Set, maintain, and continuously improve planning parameters including safety stock, reorder points, lead times, and order quantities
  • Analyze and manage the impact of inventory decisions on service levels, cash flow, and operational risk
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, engineering, and finance to align forecasts, purchasing, and supply plans
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and ongoing performance management
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and address delivery, quality, and lead-time issues
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks while supporting cost reduction and service improvement initiatives
  • Utilize SAP for purchasing, inventory management, and MRP activities
  • Maintain accurate master data including items, suppliers, lead times, and safety stock
  • Use system data and KPIs to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • This role reports directly to Operations Leadership and works closely with multiple internal departments on a daily basis

  • Flexible start times between 7:00am – 8:30am (8-hour workdays)
  • $60,000 – $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience
