An agriculture tile solutions company is seeking a Drainage Sales Manager to drive growth in its agricultural drainage (tile) operations. This role focuses on cultivating strong relationships with contractors, installers, and farmers while representing leading tile drainage systems. Ideal candidates are highly independent, relationship-oriented, and motivated by sales success with significant earning potential. The position is ideally based near Spencer or Storm Lake, IA, with convenient access to the Okoboji lakes area.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with drainage contractors, installers, and farmers
  • Sell agricultural drainage tile solutions through distribution partnerships
  • Identify and prioritize 60–80 contractor accounts within the territory
  • Actively prospect and build new business across Northwest Iowa and Southern Minnesota
  • Meet customers in a variety of environments (job sites, shops, offices, farms)
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies independently
  • Partner with suppliers to understand product offerings and market opportunities
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and growth opportunities

  • Establishing strong partnerships with key contractors and installers
  • Growing market share in a competitive but relationship-driven territory
  • Becoming a trusted resource in the drainage/tile space
  • Driving consistent revenue growth across the region

Qualifications

  • Experience in agriculture, drainage, construction, or equipment sales preferred
  • Strong understanding of ag drainage or willingness to learn quickly
  • Proven ability to build relationships and win business in a competitive market
  • Self-motivated, independent, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong business acumen and territory management skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $70,000 – $110,000+ (depending on experience)
  • Bonus/Commission with uncapped earning potential
