 Surface and Cylindrical Grinding Manual Machinist

Location: Cleveland, OH (west side)

Pay: $16 -$20 per hour

Shift: 7am to 4pm Mon. – Fri.

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Surface and Cylindrical Grinding Manual Machinist who takes pride in craftsmanship. You’ll be responsible for setting up, changing over, and operating a variety of manual machines and grinders to accurately shape and finish parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, change over, and operate cylindrical and surface grinders to shape and finish parts to exact specifications.
• Measure parts and perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Assist with the setup and operation of manual machines, including:
• Engine lathes
• Horizontal and vertical boring mills
• Bridgeport mills
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machining.
• Use forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material‑handling equipment safely.
• Troubleshoot machining and grinding issues to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in special projects and support additional tasks as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong manual machinist experience — MUST include surface grinding.
• Cylindrical grinding experience highly preferred.

• Surface and cylindrical grinders
