Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead daily operations in a fast-paced diesel and commercial truck repair facility in Minster, Ohio. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing technicians, interacting with customers, and ensuring high-quality diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction
• Diagnose and repair commercial trucks and specialized vehicle systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections in compliance with federal regulations
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
• Oversee shop workflow, assign tasks, and support technicians as needed
• Complete and review service documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and industry standards
• Respond to service calls and support timely, efficient repairs

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience with all types of vehicle service
• Proven experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, or Diesel Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Experience working with commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
• Familiarity with DOT inspection requirements and safety regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills

• ASE Certification (a plus)
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
