Office Admin & HR Specialist - Temp to Hire 

🔹 Position Summary

The Office Admin & HR Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day office operations while supporting full-cycle human resources functions. This role requires a strong understanding of Texas employment laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a positive workplace environment.


🔹 Key Responsibilities

🏢 Office Administration

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure an efficient and well-organized work environment
  • Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and facility coordination
  • Support internal events, meetings, and company activities
  • Maintain company records, documentation, and administrative systems
  • Assist leadership with administrative tasks and reporting

👥 Human Resources & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment (job posting, screening, interviews, onboarding)
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Assist with performance management and employee relations
  • Support training, development, and internal communication

⚖️ Compliance & Texas Employment Law

  • Ensure compliance with Texas labor laws and federal employment regulations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of:
    • At-will employment policies
    • Wage & hour regulations (FLSA)
    • Workplace policies and documentation
  • Assist in developing and enforcing company policies and employee handbook
  • Handle HR processes in a compliant and confidential manner

📊 HR Operations & Support

  • Support payroll coordination and benefits administration
  • Track attendance, PTO, and employee records
  • Generate HR reports and assist with audits if needed
  • Work closely with management on workforce planning

🔹 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in office administration and/or HR roles
  • Strong understanding of Texas employment laws and HR compliance
  • Experience in recruiting and employee lifecycle management
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skills (English required; bilingual is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

🔹 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in small to mid-size companies (hands-on environment)
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Self-starter with problem-solving mindset

Annual compensation: 50k-60k
